How You Can Be Involved

Here at HBC missions is a way of life for us as Christians. We want to be a missions-minded people who are actively involved in evangelism here in Tulsa, the United States, and the world. We follow the approach given in Acts 1:8. From this scriptural teaching we conclude that there are two main principles of being involved in world-wide missions. Those two principles are sending or going. This page is a summary of ways you can actively be involved in the approach of Acts 1:8 and Heatherridge Baptist Missions Ministries.

SENDING

Missions Conference
Our annual missions conference is held in the spring of each year. We have missionaries from around the globe in to challenge us to reach the world with the life changing message of the Gospel of Christ. It is the highlight of the year! We encourage everyone to be a part of our exciting missions conferences.

Faith Promise Missions
The Faith Promise Missions Offering is the amount you promise to give to missions, by faith over your tithes during the coming year to the world-evangelization program of HBC. We take up the Faith Promise Mission Cards at the end of our annual missions conference.

GOING

HBC has participated  in several local, national, and global mission trips. We believe that exposure to a field is one of the best ways for the Holy Spirit to develop a burden and passion for those who do not know Christ. We support several local Home Mission groups that you can be a part of,  as well as embarking on mission trips to minister on a foreign field.

Another great way to be involved in missions is to consider becoming a short-term missionary. Short-term missionary helpers assist our church-planting missionaries for a period of at least one year on the field. This not only will expose you as a missionary helper to the field, but also gives valuable assistance to our church planting missionaries.
