Preacher and Mrs. CarterBill and Norma accepted Christ as their Savior in January 1961 at Beaver Street Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, under the ministry of George Hodges. Bill surrendered to full-time ministry in 1967 and graduated from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri in 1971. He received a Master's degree in 1994 and a Doctorate in 1996. The Carters have served in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma in the area of music, youth and associate work. They have been ministering at Heatherridge since August 1985. They have been married since 1960 and have three children and seven grandchildren. Some of their favorite things are spending time with their church family, their children and the grandkids.
SHANE PETERS - FAMILY PASTOR
Shane, Tonya, Ashlee, Kent and Drew Peters have been on staff since July 2007. Shane & Tonya attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated in 1999. During their time at BBC, they were on staff at Flat Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Bassham. Upon graduation, they returned to their home church in Springdale, Arkansas, to serve full time as Youth Pastor and then as Children's Pastor at Temple Baptist Church under Pastor Don Elmore. Tonya & Shane have been married since 1993. Currently Shane is pursuing his Masters from Liberty University.
