Heatherridge Baptist Church, as it is known today, was birthed by God and a small group of people who sensed the leading of the Lord to begin an independent Baptist Chuch. On February 28, 1948, this group met and organized the New Testament Baptist Church.
In her memoirs Mrs. Maude Fisher, the wife of the founding pastor, states the church began under a brush arbor. Immediately sensing the need for a more permanent structure, the embryonic flock began a building program.
Since 1985 the church has been in three major building programs: Fellowship hall, a Sunday School facility, and the extension and remodeling of the auditorium, including new lobby and church offices.
